About Tave

While Tave forged his practice working for the likes of Apple, Diageo, Lucas Studios, Frito-Lay, NFL Properties, Dr Pepper, Texas Instruments, Yum Brands, and other prominent national/international companies, he is especially sensitive to the needs and orientations of the small- to mid-sized business.

He grew up in a family business that competed everyday against bigger, deeper-pocketed companies. What’s more, Tave has built and run three small professional services companies (10-40 employees). Because marketing strategy/marketing communications were the focus of his businesses, he didn't need help with marketing issues but absolutely needed outside expertise with finance and human resources. So the notion of occasionally tapping into higher level specific outside expertise made perfect sense to him. His CEO marketing advisory practice has its genesis in that realization.

As to his working style, it's probably best described as "professional peer". CEOs tend to be very comfortable working with Tave. He shoots straight and works in confidence.

If he is the right fit for a situation, Tave is all in. If he’s  not the best fit, he’ll say as much and hope to work together down the road.
